KS2 (Key Stage Two) covers children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. They are usually aged between 7 and 11. At the end of Year 6 children often take SATS in English and Maths. If children are applying for 11+ entry to an independent school they would usually take this assessment in the January of Year 6.
